Lorri Field is a Director of PDC Law and an Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation, with a particular focus on building and construction law.
Practising since 2008, Lorri has worked extensively with builders, subcontractors, suppliers, developers, property owners and other construction industry participants across NSW. She advises on residential and commercial building disputes, construction contracts, payment disputes, debt recovery and claims under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act.
Lorri also assists clients with the drafting, negotiation and review of construction contracts, supply agreements and other commercial arrangements associated with building and development projects. Her broader commercial experience includes construction finance arrangements, private lending and business disputes.
Known for her practical and common-sense approach, Lorri focuses on understanding the commercial realities behind a dispute or transaction and helping clients identify a clear path forward. Where disputes arise, she has extensive litigation experience across the Local, District and Supreme Courts of NSW, as well as the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
As a Director of PDC Law, Lorri has a strong interest in the construction and property sectors more broadly and in building relationships with businesses and professionals throughout the Illawarra and NSW.
She is also passionate about improving opportunities for women in law, construction, property and business. As the mother of a young daughter, Lorri is particularly conscious of the importance of women being visible in leadership and in industries where they have traditionally been underrepresented.
Lorri remains actively involved in the Illawarra community. She serves on the Squash Illawarra Committee and the Property Council of Australia’s Illawarra Committee. She previously served as Chair of Supported Accommodation & Homelessness Services Shoalhaven Illawarra (SAHSSI), stepping down from that role in November 2025 after several years of involvement with the organisation.
Lorri holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce (Distinction) from the University of Wollongong, together with a Master’s degree from the College of Law.
In 2019, Lorri was named Regional Lawyer of the Year at the Women Lawyers Achievement Awards.
