Lorri Field, a distinguished Director and Lawyer at PDC Law, employs a common-sense approach to representing her clients. As one of the few Accredited Specialists in Commercial Litigation in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions, Lorri demonstrates exceptional knowledge and skill in managing commercial disputes.
With extensive litigation experience across various jurisdictions, including Local, District, and Supreme courts, as well as the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Lorri handles a diverse client base comprising commercial and government entities. Her expertise spans contract disputes, building and construction claims, corporate insolvency, mortgage default, and debt recovery.
Beyond litigation, Lorri excels in commercial transactions, offering invaluable advice to SMEs in drafting operational agreements and documents, particularly in construction contracts and financing.
Lorri’s commitment to her community is evident through her role as a Committee Member for Supported Accommodation & Homelessness Services Shoalhaven Illawarra (SAHSSI), a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to aiding vulnerable women and families, focusing on resolving homelessness and preventing domestic violence.
In her leisure time, Lorri enjoys sports and outdoor activities, particularly squash and touch football. She further contributes to her passion for sports by serving on the board of Squash Illawarra.
Lorri holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Distinction) from the University of Wollongong, as well as a Master’s degree from the College of Law.
Practising since 2008, Lorri has focused on building and construction law for over 10 years. She regularly handles residential and commercial building disputes, debt recovery, and payment claims under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act.
Lorri’s expertise in drafting, negotiating, and advising on design and construction contracts, supply contracts, and residential building works is well-regarded. She also advises on construction finance arrangements and private lending.
In recognition of her contributions, Lorri was named Regional Lawyer of the Year at the 2019 Women Lawyers Achievement Awards.
